Please check that the From: line contains a valid email address. After a delay of up to one day, you should receive an acknowledgement at that address. Please write in English if possible, as the Emacs maintainers usually do not have translators for other languages. Please describe exactly what actions triggered the bug, and the precise symptoms of the bug. If you can, give a recipe starting from `emacs -Q': Running "emacs --daemon" from the console to get a persistent emacs session and then using frames in the X session crashes emacs when the X session is terminated before all the frames were closed. This defeats the purpose of the daemon mode for me. Is it possible to make it so that the emacs daemon survives the ungraceful removal of frames? If Emacs crashed, and you have the Emacs process in the gdb debugger, please include the output from the following gdb commands: `bt full' and `xbacktrace'. For information about debugging Emacs, please read the file /usr/share/emacs/24.2/etc/DEBUG. At least I don't find it in the packages. They are strongly orientated towards gnome, so I'm not surprised. I pulled from bzr, compiled with lucid and made a test: Started emacs in daemon mode, left two frames open and exited fvwm which closes the X session. After that, the emacs daemon is unresponsive, i. e. 'emacsclient -nw' doesn't do anything, and I can only kill the emacs process. -- Debugger entered--Lisp error: (error "C-c C-c can do nothing useful at this location")
